I found this to be a thought provoking and fascinating dive into the ethics and perhaps changing views of owning animals. Taken from a purely pet viewpoint rather than thinking about veganism etc, you rightly questions whether humans should own pets even if they believe they are giving them the best life possible. It is a conversation starting piece which challenges the reader to reevaluate their own beliefs system and what it is based on. The ideas in this piece will be chewed on for a long time. It's exactly what I was hoping for when I wrote the prompt!
