This is a beautifully written hugely resonating piece for mothers of daughters. The need to raise powerful and strong young women who are not only comfortable in their skin but able to advocate for themselves shines through, as is the acknowledgement of how hard that is to do when mothers are still just women trying to learn these skills themselves. You offer permission to the reader that its okay to be both a proud feminist and a vulnerable women and in doing so you validate the reader, the collective female experience and the hope that each generation will do it a little better than the last. Thank you!
